McCarthy and Peters post NCAA leads

Providence’s Dave McCarthy and Boston’s Rich Peters posted NCAA leading marks in the 3000m and mile respectively over the weekend. McCarthy, in his senior year as a Friar, posted a 7:56, while Peters clocked a 4:00.23 mile. Such is the depth in the NCAA, that these times will most likely not make it to the National Championships. Both athletes look well equipped to go quicker and run the required time, 7:52.30 and 3:57.90, to qualify in the top 16 in the nation.
