Athlete Feature 36 – Tyrone Edgar

Tyrone Edgar

Tyrone Edgar spent much of his formative sprint career in the NCAA. His first stint was at a junior college, Kansas CC. There he progressed to a wind assisted 10.04 at the World Junior Champs. In 2004, he transferred to sprint powerhouse Texas A&M. He is a multiple GB International and competed at the 2008 Beijing Games.

He talks to us about coaching at Texas San Antonio and his perception that many British sprinters take the easy option and stay at home rather than push themselves in an environment such as the NCAA.

(*Despite the audio, John did not talk over Edgar. This was a problem with our recording software.)
