Regional results

Regionals are now in the books and as usual, ¬†plenty of British and Irish athletes qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Rather than elaborate on results now, we will endeavour to focus on those who have qualified when we produce in depth men’s and women’s previews during the week. Provisionally there are 25 qualifiers, though there will almost certainly be more running in Kentucky, as we know that there were some athletes who did not compete and are part of teams that did qualify. Full known British and Irish results are below and those with a Q next to their name are qualified for nationals, either as a team or individually. It was also great to see that we had athletes representing schools at all 9 regional meetings.

A quick thought ahead of our preview – Tulsa’s Marc Scott has now made it four wins from four this season after taking the Mid-West title. If he can make it five from five next week then we will have our first British male winner in a quarter of a century. Tweet us if you know who the last man to do this was.
