The 2016 collegiate season came to a close last night in Eugene and it ended up being a tough day for the British women. With the majority of athletes already finished on Thursday, only five were left to compete yesterday.

Top finisher was Michigan senior Cindy Offili, who was 4th in the 100m hurdles in her last collegiate race. The Michigan athlete currently sits top of the British rankings, and looks likely for an Olympic spot having hit the qualifying standard multiple times this season.

The four other Brits competing were all distance athletes. Sophie Connor of New Mexico was the highest placer of these four, finishing 11th in the 1500m.

We will let the dust settle for a few days before announcing our own 2016 trackboundusa award winners.
